What does “NAOS” mean?

It started with a clever way for me to incorporate my name as part of the brand. After I decided on that clever combination, the idiom "there's nothing new under the sun" doubled down as I did a quick google search.

“Naos” according to Frank Goddio, underwater archeologist, “The small chapels known as naos are shrines housing statues of the divinities. They were located in the most sacred place at the core of the temple. They were furnished with doors which the officiating priest opened in order to carry out the daily rites of the cult, as well as the rites specific to that divinity.”

Now, in the nascency of this brand & practice, one of the core concepts was to have a tie between being a safe space to practice astrology without judgement (as current times, astrology is not viewed as valid and not widely accepted in western world) & somewhat spiritual aspect (as astrology is inherently spiritually tied). The previously stated definition is spot on for what I wanted this brand to embody. Call it divine calling or coincidence, this is how NAOS came to exist.

I heard astrology is evil and a cult, does that mean NAOS Astrology is?

No, to both. By definition and execution, both astrology and NAOS are not (nor intend to be) a cult. Mainstream astrology, also known as “pop astrology”, can go through trends of only providing surface level, gross over-generalizations and delineations, that normally are easily applicable and digestible for most people (such through ambiguous script). This can polarize people by way of weaponization of less desirable traits of specific placements—without taking into account the whole chart and the story it tells.

NAOS Astrology is not evil either, by most standards, though evil is dictated by the reader’s personal value and belief system that constructs the idea of evil. The purpose of NAOS is help people by providing a different perspective of their life and reality by looking at the stars, which humans have been doing for thousands of years.You could say that NAOS is evil because it is a business, a direct and pure existence of the destructive and oppressive system ruling the world today of capitalism. (for legal reasons, it is entertainment)

Is NAOS your primary job?

No, not yet. I currently have a full time job (which I grateful for providing means of survival), meaning that all of these services and behind the scene work is all on my free time. I am but a mere fellow human, and try to be sane, so my day job & astrology are not my entire life — I do have friends, family, and other hobbies that bring me joy. I also have emotions and a physical being, so I do ask for some grace as things may not always go as planned, and we need to pivot. I am eternally grateful for every single person I can discuss, collaborate, and everything else when I comes to astrology— thank you.

Why do you charge so much, don’t you know that it’s rough out there?

Sadly, I do understand & like many, feel it everyday, and we won’t be able to fully be happy or live more decent lives until the current system has fallen, severely reformed, or banished to the shadow realm. I do often provide services for free, but the fact is just to be able to provide these services, there are maintenance costs (ie., website, software, etc) and also the number of man hours for preparation (to include previous course studies, those are often not cheap). I may be amenable to sliding scale on case-by-case basis, if that is the case please reach out directly via email.
